About the Team

The Emerald Team has been introduced to Sapphire Gymnastics Academy for the following types of students. 

1.    Students who love gymnastics and want to compete, but do not want a commitment of 12 hours per week. 

2.    Students who love gymnastics and want to compete, but are not yet at the skill level for the USAG Team. 

We are excited to be able to give all children who truly love the sport a competitive option at our gym.  The Emeralds is a year round Team.  Emeralds will focus on learning skills and routines from June to December and will compete from January to May.  This Team will require parents to purchase a leotard, which can also be worn to practice, and warm up for their meets.  During the competitive season the Team will compete throughout the state of Iowa in 4-8 gymnastics competitions. 

Heather Dubberke is the main coach for this Team and is also an AmeriKiDS judge.  She is an excellent coach and role model for your children and we are excited to have her in our program.
